Maybe im tripping

But i feel like my nose has gotten slightly bigger since i finished my round of accutane about 2 months ago

It got much more defined at the end of the treatment, but now i feel like its gained «bulbousness»

Does anyone with experience know how much it will reverse if this is the case?

I might be wrong but I think you’re nose goes back to normal after you’ve been on isotretinoin so if you want it to be smaller you have to hop on again

It goes back to normal after you stop using it.

The gene expression of lipids in your liver is no longer being inhibited by isotretinoin so sebaceous gland activity increases. It does not necessarily return to baseline but if you're producing more oil then you can expect your glands to be bigger. You can always apply a topical retinoid to your nose to inhibit sebaceous gland activity local to the nose.

Yea, that is what i was thinking

Hopefully it does not go back to what it was when is started. It prob shouldn’t if acne does not come back either right?

How long after accutane can i begin applying topical stuff?

Like I said, sebaceous gland activity will increase closer to baseline but not necessarily to baseline. Varies from person to person.

Why not immediately?

Yea, i should have formulated better. I meant closer to what it was

I have no idea why. I remember reading a couple of different sources saying waiting a couple of months to half a year cuz of sensitivity. The reason i asked you is because i dont see how that makes sense when I was on the strongest retinoid there is for a couple of months and my skin was fine.

Just start with 0.025% EOD and then go from there.

Whats EOD?

Also do you know if taking retinoids could slightly sharpen face aswell, cuz of pores there (similar to nose) or is it different cuz of cartiledge or smth

Maybe a tiny bit, but let's be real, it's fat on your face that is making it less sharp, not enlarged pores.

EOD is every other day.

hop back on accutane will give you the same small nose the effects go away if your not constantly on accuatane. Would have to get a rhino to get permenant nose gains :blackpill:
