It's like we are so brainwashed by society that we miss the days where we felt genuine.

I bet that this wouldn't happen in the wild. Because as long as you are alive, handsome, surrounded by others, and have an adequate food source, you would always be happy and feeling the nostalgic emotions.

Nostalgia is just a point in your life where you physically felt better than you do now. So you go back to that time to feel some of that. If it's too much yes bad but otherwise a natural thing if your life sucks.

I was surrounded by friends, playing videogames, no need to have a job, I had food, decent health (being a child), team sports, high energy, etc. All stuff this is lacking now in my life. Of course I go back sometimes just to feel something good.
