I just found my old fragrance (last time I used it was 2-3 years ago), and I decided to give it a smell and oh my fucking god the memories it gave me, its the closest thing I have to going back in time. When things were better, easier, childish. This feeling of nostalgia mixed with the beautiful smell of the fragrance made me sit back for a second and close my eyes. It made me feel better, in a safe place, but at the same time worse,
because there is no going back to the past, and we are costantly living the consequences of it.
"Time's arrow neither stands still nor reverses, it merely marches forward"
(please someone get the reference)
If I am not wrong the most vivid memories and sensations are the ones provoked by sounds/songs and smells of our own past.
Listen to that song that you used to love, smell that fragrance that you used to wear, its one of the weirdest and most emotional experiences you are ever going to have
