Not able to curl lashes

So my eyelashes are really long but they curl downward instead of up so they give me a negative canthal tilt look despite me not having nct

I tried curling them yesterday with an eyelash curler but my brow ridge would get in the way or they just wouldn’t curl much

Do you guys have any tips? I can send a pic of my eye area in pms

its because lash curlers have that curved shape that prevents you from curling them if you eyes are deeper set and flatter. i havent tried myself but look into japanese lash curlers, they have flatter shapes

Well I have a small amount of uee but ig my brow ridge is still projected, but yeah I’ll look into those

I’ll try again today and do it while raising my eyebrows, will see if it works or not

You can always use your fingers to hold pressure to your lashes for a bit of time. I do that sometimes since it's hard to get the lashes on the lateral parts of my eye.

Doesn’t work for me since mine are really long and downwards, how much pressure do you apply?

i tried even when using clear gel mascara it didnt work , i have too much hooding on the upper eyes and way to horizontally small pfl

Lash perm might be the only way for us

Tho I’m gonna try it one more time today w better technique, my eyes are prob not as hooded as yours I just have low set brow ridge with some small amount of uee

look into japanese lash curlers, they have flatter shapes

I have found that mascara doesn’t help them stay up at all, just gives them a different look whether you use the clear one or the tinted.

What ‘valentine’ said is what worked for me. I got a japanese style lash curler (will attach pic) and they are way flatter. You can position it just on the outer part of the lashes and curl them that way.

I have really long eyelashes and if I don’t do this it looks like negative canthal tilt (NCT). You can also trim them, so that they are shorter at the ends and then grow larger until the top of the eye so that they don’t make your eye droopy.

But I think keeping them all long and curling them upwards gives a bigger halo and a longer looking eye, like a cat eye.

I have tried both cutting them and curling them, found that if you curl them they will look more PCT in pictures and better IRL since they are all longer.

Alright, I will definitely buy that then after trying my current eyelash curler again today and if it doesn't work. How much does it cost btw?

I'd experiment with curling upwards before trimming tho, I think it's best to never trim lashes and just try to curl them for that halo'd look you mentioned.

I'll need to buy this type of curler to see if it works or not, but I'll mark it as a solution because I haven't seen this advice anywhere except from when you or @valentine mentioned it, so it should probably work for me.

Yes, I would 100% do this. Try for a few days. It took me some time to get them to curl in natural looking way. Now they look perfect all the time (after I do it in the morning)
