not many people seem to talk about how important face muscles are for bone development

even after puberty, you can still theoretically have good results, especially if the muscles are hypertrophy-ed and excercise a greater strenght on the bones they are actually attached to. most people talk about thumb pulling/pushing, which i dont think are cope, since its a technique intended to take advantage of sutures in your skull (you can still expand your palate even at 30 years old btw) and the only reason it wouldnt theoretically work for some people is the frequency, strenght and age at which they do it, but i see face muscle strenghtening as important as thumbpulling or mewing if not more. face muscles are like nature braces and are incredibly important to the overall development of your skull/face.

Yeah that’s the actual context Wolff’s law works within. And it’s why people with missing teeth, who only chew on one side of their mouth, grow asymmetric mandibles.

Obviously possible far into adulthood. Look at Devon Larratt, who after switching to single arm training for two years, gained an inch of length on his right forearm. Face is more subtly balanced, but many muscles in the face load forces onto the skull, the most notably the effect of the masseter on the mandible. Why do veteran bodybuilders all have chiseled features? Probably something to do with contorting your face every time you lift to failure.
