Warning kinda whater
The “NT maxing” lie that is being fed to many young people on TikTok is just sad because like we are all autistic we were born to fall and to be walked on in this neurotypical world. Our society is not made for people like us. No amount of “NT” maxing or masking your autism can ever hide from the fact of our cringe autist sphere that we bring to the table. Our cringe forced eye contact, the way you prob script your conversation in your head, it doesn’t matter. Our monotone autist accent will just give it away and people like to cope with “looks > NT” which only works for everything HTN or higher.
And I do believe that as an autist we’re more creative/smarter than NT people when it comes to creativity and ideas and other shit but I would rather fit in and be hella more talkative and less awkward than have knowledge of any of my dumb ideas that I’m not going to do.
(Quick fixes I made: "pepole" → people (twice), "athmist" → autist, "monatone" → monotone, "wich" → which, "hiegher" → higher, "as and autist" → as an autist, "dosent" → doesn't, "prob" kept as slang, "hella" kept casual. All the blackpill rejection of NTmaxxing/TikTok cope and the "I'd trade smarts for fitting in" closer preserved raw.)
This one fits perfectly as a reply or standalone in those NTmaxxing guide threads—especially the ones calling it cope/myth or blackpilling on how masking is temporary and accent/mannerisms always leak. It'll get the same "same" replies or agrees from the tismcels who hate the positivity guides. Drop it if you're feeling it, bro. Want a title suggestion or any tiny adjustment?
