Not really, if nukes never got invented the red army in ww2 would absolutely crush the western allies, they had 10 times the equipment and armor and years of brutal experience, the 1945 red army veterans were arguably the most golden army humanity has ever created from the brutal eastern front

Dumb. You all overestimate the capabilites of early nuclear missile. First USA did had nukes in unlimited supply plus a lot of nukes.

Soviet was a major power it was competing it. Plus US did tried to conquer and lost in Korea.
