I remember the first time I found the dark brotherhood. I killed some homeless dude in the big city and then Lucien Lachance came to me. Mogs Skyrim to the slums of the waterfront district of the Imperial City and back.

Yeah Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood is a joke jfl. That stupid ass bitch Astrid conspired with the same people that want to see the demise of the org :lul:. Meanwhile when I betrayed the Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion some evil spirit woke me up while I was asleep and proceeded to chase me down for like 10min. That quest where you larp as the Gormet was pretty fun though
But fuck there's nothing that can compare to that sense of awe and enticement that I got from my first Skyrim playthrough. Maybe it's mostly tied to the fact that it was my first Elder Scrolls game, but god I'll miss exploring those Dwarven ruins, traversing (some) of those Nordic Tombs, getting my ass beat by a Dragon Priest when I first encountered one, and exploring the varied open world with its frozen reaches, winding plains, and tumultuous cliffsides, under the beautiful auroras
Ngl I was pretty disappointed with the Knights of the Nine DLC compared to Dawnguard and Tribunal, nothing more than a glorified fetch quest with an anti-climatic bossfight. But I'm excited to play Shivering Isles because not only is it a place other than Solstheim but people seem to consider it good enough to be its own standalone game
Problem is I'm starting to get fucked because of inefficient leveling, thinking of just scaling the difficulty down tbh . Really deters me from putting more hours in
worth playing?
Yeah it's 75% off rn on Steam

this game is from 2006, not very demanding. plus this is vanilla
if you have an xbox one or series s/x ypu can play it since those consoles are backwards compatible

Really fun game, spend hours playing this in my early teens.

First thing I remember I'd do on my playthroughs after exiting the sewers was go defeat Umbra that high elf in the full suit of Ebony armor in that Ayleid ruin just outside the city by jumping to a glitched area and just spamming attack so she cant hit you.

I can remember back in the day being of the opinion Oblivion was better than Skyrim in terms of questlines and lore but both great games.

Yeah, Skyrim traded Oblivion's questlines and larger cities for better exploration
I also enjoyed Morrowind a lot. All 3 of the main ES games are worth playing despite what elitists have to say
