Probably one of the least thought about features of the male head, the occipital bone may have a large affect on the appearance of the skull.
An occipital bun is a prominent bulge or projection of the occipital bone at the back of the skull.
The vast majority of males have a "normal" occipital bone. However, there are some unfortunate individuals who have the feature of the occipital bun.
So why is it so bad?
A prominent bulge at the back of the head will look unsightly and will be shown drastically on those who are bald, or have a hairstyle which displays this feature.
Although it seems like a minor thing, it will have a large affect on those who have this, and can even change your entire side profile view
What can be done?
There are some things which can be done to reduce the appearance of the occipital bun, ranging from basic to even advanced surgery.
Surgery?
Is the surgery worth it? - surgery can range around 2000 US dollars, if done in the US.
The surgery is low risk, with minimal scarring, and can provide great results, as shown in the above pictures. Do your own research to find out more
Often overlooked, the occipital bone can have a large affect on the appearance of your skull.
I'm not sure if this is worth mentioning, but feel like it had to be done bc low quality content. Anyways, enjoy.

- Hairstyle - A hairstyle which covers the back of the head is ideal for those frustrated with the appearance of the occipital bun, simple enough.
- Headwear - another simple method of reducing the appearance of this feature is to wear a cap, which can cover up this feature entirely
- Neck training - One of the fundamentals of looksmaxing, neck training can greatly reduce the prominence of the occipital bun. This is hard to find photos of but look at those who have a short, flat occipit, and compare it to those who have the feature, you will see a large difference
- Surgery - Maybe the last resort, but probably the most effective, surgery can completely remove the appearance of the occipital bone, with the only flaw being a scar where an incision is made
