It's a pretty water subject, but the list of things that must go right to live a good life is vast. Everyone's definition of what it means to live a good life is very subjective, but if we take happiness as the virtue that man should strive towards and consider the ways humans attain said happiness, we can ascertain that it would be a combination of a solid romantic relationship, a stable career, and a slew of memories and social connections one has maintained and acquired throughout one's lifetime. For a man to attain these things to the fullest degree that a human can, which most humans should be able to experience given that it's our only life, requires many things in one's life to go right.
Most of these things are not within one's control, as they have an environmental or genetic basis, which renders the majority of our lives not within one's control.
- Grow up in a stable household
- Be born in an area with safe streets, and good economic resources
- Be born tall and have an attractive face
- Be born without any mental disabilities or deficits
- Be high in extraversion, conscientiousness, IQ, and openness
- Be low in neuroticism
- Come from a rich family
- Be born in the right age/era (don't wanna be born in 1940s Germany)
- Make friends with the right group of people, so that you don't get peer pressured to make bad life decisions
- Be in good physical health with no noticeable diseases
- Be high in setience and have a good understanding of human nature
