The mental blockade of not ascending by a certain age is far greater than whatever genetics are at play. Knowing you are getting older with zero to show for it in relationships or life will bring your chances of ascending down to a halt for most as you just give up. If you somehow maintain healthy frame of mind you can ascend even in your 30s, tbh but if you had always had that mindset you would have ascended much earlier (barring prison time, etc.)
