Old dog creeping me out late at night

I took the dogs outside and for some reason the old bitch was staring me down through the window in the middle of the night with her two eyes looking like a chameleon. I already checked their body heat and both animals seem to be warm blooded so that rules out the ghost/reptile possibility. I should probably start going to sleep earlier cause I get scared easily at night. Let me know if you guys have any tips and tricks for my situation.
