If one takes the time to sit quietly and observe their own mind, one will quickly find that one cannot predict what their next thought will be. This unpredictable "conscious stream", frustrating as it may be at times, is the origin of what is called "creativity."
Ideas seem to spontaneously appear from our conscious stream, and impose themselves into our mind of their own volition when we ponder a topic; this impersonal agency of our conscious stream is so pronounced and out of our control, that it has often historically been personified/deified as an entity in itself, totally seperate from us, going by names such as "the Muse."
This conscious stream, totally out of our control and unpredictable, is the aspect of our mind we attribute to what is commonly called "creativity," as in, the ability to have original and unique ideas. When most artists are asked where they got their original ideas from, they simply respond "I just thought of it one day;" a Eureka moment that seemingly came out of the blue, not of their own volition, and was totally unpredictable.
This is because that Creative aspect of consciousness, that conscious stream we can't predict or control that is the origin of unique ideas, does not originate from this world. It is an aspect of our consciousness, yes; but it is not of our body, nor is it even of this physical world. This out of control conscious stream of unpredictable and unique ideas is, in actuality, a Gateway to another realm; a Gate to what is convenient to call the Acausal continuum/dimension(s), which we will simply refer to as the Acausal for convenience sake.
The Acausal is a non-physical dimension(s) of non-existence; it is the origin of the substance/energy we call consciousness, and home to non-physical entities which have come to be known as the Dark Gods. Satan (or better called, Satanas) is one of these Dark Gods, also known as the Nekalah. When we perform Magick, we are in actuality drawing Energy from the Acausal (through the Gate which is our consciousness) into the causal world (our physical world); this Acausal Energy is then directed and controlled by our consciousness to affect change in our causal world according to our desires.
When it comes to the Forbidden Alchemy and Black Magick, one of the stated goals of Initiation is to increase what is called the "Acausal Aspect" of our consciousness; what this translates to is essentially increasing that aspect of one's mind which is that unpredictable and uncontrollable conscious stream of unique ideas, effectively opening our conscious Gate to the Acausal wider so that more unique ideas (read, Acausal Energy) flow through. One of the ways Acausal Energy manifests in the conscious mind is raw Creativity; the ability to have spontaneous and unique ideas with little to no effort. Some are born with more Acausal Aspect to their consciousness (and hence an inborn ability to have more "Creative Genius"); but for most born in our modern times, a conscious effort must be made to increase the Acausal Aspect of our consciousness, and open our Gate to the Acausal wider.
One of the signs of Occult Adeptship is the ability to be spontaneously Creative; this is so because the genuine Adept has taken deliberate esoteric action(s) that has resulted in the increasing of the Acausal Aspect of their consciousness. As it currently stands, the Forbidden Alchemy of the Sevenfold Way and the Sinister Tradition of the Order of Nine Angles is a supreme method of self-development which results in the increase of the Acausal Aspect of one's consciousness, and hence an increase of one's Creativity.
Creativity (read, the Acausal) and the unique ideas which come from it are what we have to thank for our advanced Evolution as a species. Without Creative thinking, we would never have developed the ability to critically question things in our physical world (the Scientific Method), nor the ability to formulate abstract ideas. This is why it is essential for a cultural mythos to contain an ethos that impels the increasing of the Acausal Aspect of our consciousness (read, encourages actions that develop Creativity and Critical Thinking), for this is what we have to thank for the upward trend of our Evolution as a species.
