There's no such thing as "I do it for myself", if it was for yourself you wouldnt do anything else than satisfy your own corporal needs, but everything else you do is for other people. Even going to the gym because you want to look good at the mirror, as in your mind other people will respect how you look but if you lived alone there wouldnt be a reason to look yourself at the mirror.

This narrative of "self improvement" was used by girls and then by redpillers. It's all in your mind, you care for what others think but others don't care about you. Ascending won't change your life if you don't have a social circle, all your "self improvement" will be the biggest cope in the universe.
