Once you get that name, you will never get rid of it. People will always assume you‘re drunk even it you‘re not. I used to drink a lot 2 years ago (everyone knew) and even though i quit, i still get asked if i drank today or not. I can go a whole month without having a single drop of alcohol and still have people looking at me concerned "as if they knew the truth“, as if they wanted to tell me "oh you can’t fool me, i know.“

If alcohol had a karma, then it is people looking down on you. The only way to still be respected as a drunktard is by being rich.

i had a classmate who’s entire personality was getting drunk. he used to brink bottles and cans of beer with him all the time

everyone use to joke about him being an alcoholic even when he was sober. no one took him seriously. like a jester he was only there for people to laugh at his antics

it was kinda funny at first but looking back on it now it seems kinda sad. no one talked to him about anything other than alcohol. don’t know had bad things have to get for someone to become an alcoholic in their teens

My father used to tell me about alcoholism, alcoholics are usually good people, but they aren’t taken seriously by anyone, you could be a good person, but still nobody will respect you because you are known to people as a drunktard and they will Look down on you

yeah man, im surrounded by alcoholics in my life but ill never touch the stuff. such readily available poison in our society, ruins so many lives, kills so many people. it's sad but it's the truth. and they'll never stop selling it because they can't

I‘m drinking until blackout today. But i‘m alone. I just don’t drink in public (or not too much). I always pretend to be sober, but go to the toilet to get a shot secretly @Vermilioncore thoughts

she overcame her drinking problems but even now as an adult if i ever see her acting slightly off my mind automatically shifts to “she’s drunk”

it’s pretty sad stuff, i know i shouldn’t assume such automatically but it’s just how my mind adjusted to , and yeah i do think that when someone sees someone else as an alcoholic their mind will never fully move on from it
