It kinda is but they expanded the storyline. It gets creater in scale and they are fighting a government orginisation.

But in season 3 they land in another prison so there they can break out again

It gets kinda cheesy tbh but the first season is legendary and most grounded.

But you will continue watching even the weaker later seasons cause the characters are so good
