There are like a couple of dozen serial killers active in the USA alone at any given moment in time yet we will never even hear about 99% of them. The reason? Most of them look like either normies or incels. It's ONLY when serial killers like Ted Bundy get caught that people become fascinated. Nobody cares about some random loser serial killer that looks like an incel.

Chad serial killer: Will probably get a movie made about him and some love letters from insane bitches.
