I’ll give you an example. You go to the US, there’s a lemonade called brazilian lemonade. You go to brazil and that same lemonade is called swiss lemonade. You go to switzerland and they dont even know anything about that lemonade.

France doesn’t need to produce anything useful, Germans and English are enough for that. It’s main purpose is being a stronghold of the West and a source of manpower/wealth.
