so if ur like me and no treatment was working for ur acne, there is a chance it could be Malassezia folliculitis and not acne vulgaris.

From my experience, they look exactly like whiteheads but just pop up around the mustache area, as well as jaw. (anywhere you can potentially grow hair.) And once you pop them, u can almost push out what feels like a seed. The blemish also seems not to heal until you push this "seed" out.

looks kinda like this, but mine wasnt as severe obv

So after probably seven years of treating it like acne vulgaris i switched my treatment protocol to this and it completley got rid of it. I now have the best skin I have ever had, no blemishes etc.

PSA- when you first start the protocol, it will seem like its getting worse. but this is just the fungus dying off. I noticed way more individual "whiteheads" at first but they were wayyy smaller than usual.

First check all of your skincare products on this website. https://folliculitisscout.com/ , if it comes back as a hit, toss it in the trash and find an alternative that doesnt.

Every other day until it cleared I would use medicated selsun blue shampoo u can get for cheap at any store as a mask which I would leave on for 2-3 min.
Selsun Blue Medicated Anti-dandruff Shampoo with Menthol, 11 fl. oz ...

As well as using Lotrimen Ultra on my face every night.
Lotrimin Ultra UK Athlete's Foot Treatment Cream — Kingdom States

Other things I did was make sure I washed my pillowcase at least once a week, and use my blue and red light therapy machine

Yeah, was so annoyed when I discovered it was this a bit back. All of the treatments before were a waste, and was also annoyed at all the dermatologists misdiagnosing me. It's literally ur fucking job

Actually went to dermatologist a month ago. He told me to come back last week friday.
And almost nothing has changed, so I don't wanna go back.

Not even that. Clindamycin, nicotinamide and adapalene.
Also got antibiotics and it worked well.. well that is until the course finished and my skin became shit again.
