When you are a kid your parents are responsible for what you eat and also for giving a healthy example for you to follow, for you to strive to become.

As someone who was obese himself as a kid, but lost most of the weight in my young adulthood, I have a lot of personal experience with this.
Just one example is that I would always be pressured as a kid to 'eat as much as I possibly can' in an emotionally abusive way. Not following through with this would result in a stressed, angered and disappointed mother.

As a 29yo, I have ditched my parents 5 years ago completely from my life, together with the rest of my family. I am an orphan basically.
But I still struggle with eating habits, weight-gain, etc. constantly.

My life is that if I don't put constant focus, energy into limiting caloric intake, I will automatically get as fat as I was a child. My body has learned in its childhood to not stop eating when it's full, but to continue going and going. That's my natural state.

People who weren't fat as kids, simply don't have this issue. They don't have to put constant attention and focus into not eating too much like I do. Life is easier for them even as adults.
