its probably the only thing u can do for buggy eyes that gives a significant change. And theres no way she got only a 0.1 smv boost from it.

Honestly, after Frank Tufano case, fk this surgery. Not worth risking your vision and eye function for women.

They’re removing structure behind your ears for some bugness to be removed

It’s expensive and no deepset eyes omly matter aesthicslly unless it’s dust or sum

Eye decompression is a very effective surgery. It provides benefits to everyone, but the greatest advantage is seen in cases of severe proptosis.

By the way, it’s not as risky as commonly believed if I remember correctly, the risk rate was 1 in 1000.

The risk usually increases when 3-wall or 4-wall decompression is performed.

In standard cosmetic surgery, they only decompress the excess fat behind the eye and one wall (the lateral wall)

People sleeping on this

Nice, I always wondered why cosmetic decompression looks much better than full scale decompression.

Is this worth it for a very slight bulge in just one eye?

Not worth it since the bulge may be caused by skeletal issue and not the position of the eyes, by decompressing the eyes you are also playing with pfl.

Yes.

In cosmetic eye decompression surgery, on average, the eyes can be moved back by about 3 mm.

A 3 mm difference makes a significant change cosmetically.

In surgeries that alter eye proportions (such as those involving parameters like PFH), it’s usually because the medial wall and floor are decompressed.

In cosmetic surgeries, ONLY the lateral wall and fat tissue are decompressed, so there’s no proportional distortion. Eyeball only goes to back. Not left or right.

This is the surgery that lookmaxxers are most misinformed about.

I’ve been on this forum for years and I follow atleast 3 world renowned ocuplastic surgeons and this is the first time I’ve heard of this procedure broken down so simply. THANK YOU!!!!.

Would you mind if I send a picture of just my eyes in the DMs to see what you would recommend? I’ve already seen some insane before and after results from just fillers being placed on the Upper eyelid.

I feel like cosmetic OD + UEE fillers should ascend most hollow round eyes.

Well, cosmetic orbital decompression (OD) definitely improves upper eyelid exposure (UEE),

but I don’t think it makes a huge difference.

That’s because the main issue in UEE isn’t that the supraorbital bones are too far back, but rather that they’re positioned too high.

Cosmetic OD usually works well for under-eye hollowness and helps reduce the bulging appearance.

If your eyes look protruding (regardless of UEE), I would recommend cosmetic OD.

But for UEE specifically, I’d recommend fat grafting more than fillers.

However, if you have the option, supraorbital implants would be better, because both fat grafting and fillers carry a risk of sagging in the long term
