If you get a decent internship at uni which is mandatory then yeah, I can also try to become a PhD and do lectures on the same uni which is quite popular option

Well I'll be 38 in a couple weeks and I've done pretty much everything what I've wanted save a couple things.

I haven't walked a battlefield, and at this age I never will unless I must. Though I'll always regret not joining the Marine infantry instead of the Air Force back in 07.

Also would have liked being in law enforcement. An investigator. Either that or a gangster.

I could have never just done one thing though. After getting kicked out of the Air Force at 20 I did all sorts of jobs and lived in lots of cool places. 8 months ago I was a cook at a Chinese restaurant and today I take care of people with brain injuries.

My mom actually wants me to pursue higher education and was pushing me to do masters and a PhD after that to become professor but the problem in CS. A masters and PhD is kinda useless unless it's in machine learning. There's no point in doing it unless you are specifically going for that niche that niche does pay bonkers now tho because of the rise of AI and LLMs

Shoot, I was born in 87. We pulled all our troops out of Vietnam aside from a few Marines guarding the embassy by 73. I believe Saigon fell, or was liberated, in 85 or something.

Now you gotta take a good look at everyone else of your ilk. Take a good look at them and figure out how to distinguish yourself from them. Seems to me that a lot of people like you end up misplacing their values. Be careful of the dreaded deficit.

Highly gifted individuals tend to have a deficit. Usually they aren't as good at developing good principles as regular folks. I bet it's to do with the types you'll inevitably find yourself spending time around. Folks just like you.
