she knows my concerns and is willing to buy me almost any device jfl
at 15, what would be the best thing for fixing downward growth and expanding my palate? my palate is kinda weird, i have 35mm imw and 51mm back molar width.

was thinking about herbst appliance and a paletal expander

It depends on whether you have indications or not. If the orthodontist says the jaw is narrow, then it makes sense to ask about different expanders.

mse + herbst might be better then face mask + mse from my research

herbst for downward growth and mse for paletal expansion. i dont have an underbite = wont use a face mask
