Most people don't know what you're about to see...
You've been lied to.
But it's not your fault.
Let me explain...
Around 98% of human history our primary source of food was MEAT. It's been shown we ate mostly meat.
'For example, geneticists have concluded that areas of the human genome were closed off to enable a fat-rich diet, while in chimpanzees, areas of the genome were opened to enable a sugar-rich diet.'
That's why our guts are different.
"...the human gut differs substantially from other apes in a couple of key respects: first, we have a small total gut for our body size; and second, our greatest gut volume lies in the small intestine, while in other apes it lies in the colon."
Look:
Our digestive system looks more like a carnivore (or scavenger) than a herbivore. We also ate rotten flesh.
Funny thing is, most of the energy that primates get from fermenting plant matter in their guts actually comes from ketones, not glucose. Humans don't have the right digestive system to process fiber.
Here's proof that we were butchering large mammals for food...
The markings you see indicate that we were using stone tools to slice chunks of meat off of bones. That's amazing.
Also people that eat more animal based sources are taller on average.
And not only eating meat at an early age helps shape the skull into a dimorphic and robust face. But even the amount of meat your MOTHER eats while she's pregnant affects the amount of pre-natal T you are born with. (Over if your mom was vegan)
It's fundamental for development.
Now take a look at this pic. That's Chad carnivore vs Virgin omnivore.
Which one would you choose?
If you didn't eat meat you possibly cheated yourself of one of the most nutrient dense foods that you could have eaten.

Stone Age humans were HYPERCARNIVORES and survived on mostly meat
Study authors discovered that humans were an apex predator for about two million years and it was only the extinction of larger animals that changed their diets.
