the wrist is one of the first to fuse (closes around 15-16 on avg), despite this you can thicken the bone pretty much at any age to an extent. Mechanical stress has been shown in studies to help appositional growth. In studies the wrist thickened naturally until about 19 iirc.I also increased my wrist size when I started lifting but it's not muscle lol
There literally is 0 muscle on the wrist. It's just that the wrist bone is one of the last ones to completely fuse, and if you go gym you produce more HGH so the bone gets thicker, you can't gain muscle on wrist
