Ive been wanting to fix this for a while but I don’t know where to start I have a problem like these people do.

I have a slight overbite and my back molars seem to line up better on the side that is shorter. The left side of my jaw,s back top molars are slightly to the left of the bottom ones.

My bottom molars seem to be slanted inward to the tounge.

I have tmj, my jaw clicks and hurts sometimes. I’m unsure if it’s the tmj causing the slant or the tmj being a byproduct of a problem. Before puberty my jaw seemed to be fine during puberty I developed jaw pain and asymmetry in places like my eyes, jaw and eyebrows. I want to fix what my parents failed to do. I am 21 now.

My lips are crooked, lower on the side where the jaw seems longer like this

This is not me just looks like it

I believe this is what my jaw would look like with a X-ray although with a slight overbite.

Since I have an overbite and my molars don’t line up would Invisalign possibly fix this or would I need surgery.

If surgery what type would I need.

You need bimax to fix this maybe with implants to fix, asymmetry in ramus and jaw mass. For the tmj:s, bimax can be a good or it can be bad

Would I need to get braces/invislign prior to surgery to correct the overbite and molars?

You would not need to correct over bite before, but you might need to put the teeth in the correct position accordance with the bones and movements plsnned, called decompensation. For the slanting of the molars I am not sure. It depends on how the CT scan looks. And what the surgical plan would be with the surgeon.

thank you, so would I need to see an orthodontist first or someone else?

Also, I'm sure it would be covered by insurance because I have functional issues like jaw popping and pain, however this would mean that i would have to go to an in-network surgeon not some like amazing one.

It's not necessarily a huge falio that makes me look deformed and I am fairly attractive so I'm afraid of getting botched somehow. However i do belive it would make me a lot more attractive so do you think it would be worth the risk to get the surgery with a normal in network surgeon?

What would I ask him for the most aesthertic result

This depends on several factors, jaw surgery is a complex procedure and the outcome is always a bit unpredictable. If you are not making big movements you could probably go to a insurance surgeon and be fine. But it depends ofc. I don't really know how big of a difference it can be between a good and a little bit worse surgeon. I mean almost surgeon have some styles and movements they don't like so even between the so called good surgeons the plan will differ a little bit. But yeah I think you will be good, many unknown surgeons are good. But ofc he will do a 3d plan so you will se what he is doing. Where do you live btw ?

I'm from sacramento, so I can probally do the surgery here or the bay area.

Dr. Kasey Li is located in the Bay Area and he's one of the best but there is no way in hell i can afford the 70k cost.

I might get a consultation with him for 500$ and compare it with the in network surgeons consult.

Yea, do it and compare, I don't really know like I said. Maybe you can go to Europe. It's cheaper. Go to raffaini. He is the best surgeon in the world probably

I mean the surgery is the same size so to speech even if you don't do the big movements. You are breaking the same bones lose. Moving them a mm less will not make a difference haha. So yeah it's the same prize. But if you only do bsso, lower jaw, then it's half the price. But it wouldnt fix symmetries the same way.

I meant as in I've seen people get quoted more because they're more recessed. Im sure i need DJS anyways my maxilla could be moved a bit forward. but yea hat makes sense.

What are your thoughts on rameri? I can afford 20k seems reasonable. If he's good I can maybe even do it in 2025.
