Overbite fix?

Stupid question, but if you have an overbite and get surgery to fix that, is that upper jaw surgery to fix the overbite? Or do you do lower jaw surgery to align the lower jaw to the overbite of the upper jaw?

1, if u are still growing braces and ortho treatment can still fix it, because your jaw will grow
2, if u stopped growing u need lower jaw advencement and braces
i had a really bad overbite until i got my ortho treatment
but i got my treatment when i was in puberty so my mandible might grown tbh
from 15-18 i got a massive change in my side profile

I got ortho treatment
I got screw assisted palatal expansion device and braces
But the only reason i have a good side profile now is because i had these treatment in puberty so my jaw grew the right way
But thats just my opinion
