Overbite help

Im 15 and I have an overbite
I want to fix that and idk what to do and i'm scared to go to ortho because I Heard alot of stuff about people getting recessed and idk what to do because I rlly want to fix This shit without ruining my face and other bones

When I bite down my top teeth overlap my bottom teeth by more than a third idk I think I should get checked by a doctor first
