A good example for this concept is a former viral 5'7 basketball player named Julian Newman.

He became viral for dribble spam and clip farming highlight clips.

He must of practiced A LOT to get as good at stationary dribbling, but notice how I said stationary dribble and not playing basketball?

Because he was 5'7, he felt the need to overcompensate by getting really good at shit that doesn't matter to impress people. So instead of just being a normal 6ft point guard who learned how to play make, shoot 3s, work with pick and roll - stuff you'd actually want a point guard to learn, he instead learned a bunch of useless flashy crap. His overcompensation betrayed him.

When he actually played teams that weren't compensating he got sent to the shadow realm:

I can think of many cases of men like Julian Newman getting really good at pointless shit that doesn't matter which actually makes their life worse.

Men who get good at betabuxxing only to end up divorced which makes them poorer and even more heartbroken than when they started. I think they have a lot in common with Julian Newman.

Idk Mugsby Bugs actually had proper training and there a few others today like Yuki Kawamura who's doing great as a pro-hooper, the problem is the time wasted by not training properly.

Like let's look at Flight Reacts who is 6'3, he can barely dunk, poor coordination and is pretty much ass at the sport and he's been hoping since 15, it's a lack of rigorous and tough training that you need to compete at the pro-levels.

Yes, exactly. There are undersized point guards that made it to the league, but they made it by getting really good at fundamentals, not overcompensating by getting good at flashy crap.
