So I was home recently for the weekend and my mother was having her bookclub. I could not help but overhear some of their conversations. It piqued my interest in eavsdropping when one of them mentioned how upset they were when they found out their son was having sex at 14. Oh the horror! A little young I guess but I thought to myself if she would prefer her son ending up as an incel instead? Turns out he came from a rather broken home, this womans husband(the boys dad) cheated on her and left her and he had minimal input in his sons life which I found kinda sad tbh. Apprently she has remarried to a great guy who has helped raise her kids from the previous marriage, but apparently cannot stop her son from smoking pot and having sex at 15.
The second convo I overheard was another one of my moms friends, probably now in her late 30's to early 40's, her husband also recently cheated on her and left her. She found out through her kids as they were visiting their dad that the dad just had a child with another woman(presumably the one he cheated with). Their dad casually warned them that there would be a noisy baby at home and by the way you have a new half brother! You cannot make this shit up. I knew the guy and he is basically a dark triad Chad. These women are not exactly ghetto trash either, in fact they are all well educated, one being an attorney and one a doctor. And two of them(my mom and one other) are Bryn Mawr graduates(Ivy league all womens college) so they are also feminist leaning. Don't know what else to say really, it speaks for itself. Just that one woman should be happy her son is at least a Chad and not an incel. But then these women treat it the same way as if it was a daughter being sexually active instead of a son, like it is this bad thing they need to control.
