"Muh calorines in muh calories out! Body weight and ability to lose weight has nothing to do with genes ur just lazy eat less you fat fuck :soy:"

And yet, we now have this drug that can literally make fat lazy people lose weight simply by injecting some shit into their body. It does not matter that they're eating the same garbage as before because their body chemistry has been reprogramed. What this shows us, is that body composition is not really about what you eat but rather what your body THINKS it should do with it. This is how there are skinny people who struggle putting on muscle and fat fucks who gain 20 pounds by just smelling a donut. THIS BULLSHIT IS GENETICS JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE.

I've never used Ozempic but I did gain considerable weight starting SSRIs. Literally was never fat before but this shit fucked my metabolism and now I'm too heavy (I'm going off this garbage over the next 6-12 months thankfully).

Fucking over if your genes are shit. Diet & exercise is a bluepill meme.

This is not true. It decreases hunger yes, but it also tells your body not to freak out once you start losing weight. What usually happens when people diet is that they lose some weight at first, then their bodies go into panic mode because it thinks they're starving and weight loss slows or reverses. Ozempic prevents this from happening. The drug does more than diminsh hunger.

It IS genetic.

I used to agree with the narraive that fat people were just copers until I had to go on Lexapro for the first time. Literally only time in my life where I've been fat. I've also been reading experience stories from other people who went on the drug and it's the same story for most of them: Lots of weight gained while on, and then lots of weight lost after quiting. SSRIs fuck your metabolism somehow.

Like everything else in life, how fat you are is mostly just genetics.

Its main action is as an appetite suppressant since it delays food leaving your stomach. This is the main reason people lose weight. A basic Google search will tell you this. People then eat less with the drug — which proves calories in, calories out. “panic” doesn’t matter. The mechanism of weight loss is putting the fork down.

This is false. Weight loss is not linear. Your body evolved over millions of years to resist weight loss because this was useful for survival. When you cut your calories, you will initially lose weight, but then your body realizes that you're not getting as much food as previously and assumes you're starving. What happens next depends on your genes; maybe it will slow down weight loss, or it might sacrifice muscle instead of fat, or both, or maybe it just does nothing at all.

But low IQ fitness brahs wil never accept this. I'm not going to argue with you further.

Where is any research that says that ozempic works by suppressing this mechanism? I’m not interested in your schizo takes on a well-understood drug.

Are you saying it’s impossible to put the fork down?
I'm saying it's much more difficult for some people than others because of genetics
Telling them "just put the fork down" is "just stop being depressed" tier advice.

The human mind is just a bunch of chemical shit. In a way 'we' don't even really exist. Our free will is just an illusion created by our brains.

It’s more difficult because they were taught worse eating habits growing up. A lot of obese parents raise kids to also be obese by serving nutrient deficient foods to their kids when the kids are pre-teens and up.

I agree that some people have it harder, but the dipshit in the OP is arguing that it’s literally impossible because your body will force you to maintain fat regardless of caloric intake. I agree with your common sense view. I’m arguing against OP’s dipshitery.

How can someone gain weight when he eats less calories than his body burns daily?

Don't cut them corners and get a gym membership

Is this due to thyroid slowing down or some other mechanism? I’ve used T3 quite successfully for weight loss in the past.

OP thinks he would still be a fatass after being locked in a dungeon with no food for 2 months.

I didn't know you could survive with no food. :feelsgood:
Yeah, you will eventually die. Prior to that occurring, you will be stick-thin.

How come starvation exists? Your telling me i wont lose any wheight if i fast for a month?

Wtf is this shitty cope? Ozempic makes you eat less to lose weight. Metabolism is genetic but everyone can lose weight with cico once u find ur bmr. If u live with a very lean / thin person you will see just how little they really eat, some eat more in public but dont eat much after that. I lost 85lbs with calories in calories out. Do you not underatand how calories work? You can get fat by eating 3000 calories of broccoli a day but you can lose weight by eating 1500 of purely donuts.

And literally your point is what? Nobody irl is going to eat 800 calories a day to stay thin.
It's over for Iceland. Even their great philosophers are brainwashed with body positivity propaganda.
