Tensions are rising between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban because Pakistan says TTP militants (Pakistan Taliban) are attacking from inside Afghanistan
Pakistan has done airstrikes across the border, and clashes have broken out killing soldiers and civilians
Now borders are shut, trade stopped, and relations between the two are at their worst in years.

Tension have risen between Afghanistan and Pakistan along the Durand line , as more than five pakistani were captured alive in the parosi area of Zazi Maidan and now are in the custody of the Mujahideen. So far , ten pakistani soldiers have been killed

Fun fact Afghanistan is also known as the graveyard of empires. The British tried to conquer it in the 19 th century but failed miserably, Soviet union sent millions of troops and thousands of tanks in the 20th century but failed again and then the US. The Afghan territory is very hard to conquer because of its terrain it is all high rising mountains with extensive, cave networks, valleys and brutal terrain which makes a mobile fast paced warefare impossible and Afghan territory doesn't have much to offer in terms of resources outside of its saffron and opium other production so most invading forces just give up

I don't understand it there are ton of pasthuns in Pakistan. Who are they siding with? I don't really know much about it tbf
Pashtuns are a minority. Punjabis majority. During Partition, a ton of ethnic groups were basically lumped together under the Muslim majority label and shoved into a Pakistan. The problem is politics in Pakistan has long been dominated by Punjabis which leaves other groups feeling sidelined. Baloch nationalists in Balochistan have been fighting for autonomy for decades. Balochistan liberation movement. Sindhis often feel their culture get ignored, Pashtuns have the Tahafuz Movement and the T and activists from Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir wanting autonomy. A lot of these people don't even strongly identify as Pakistani because the state has historically prioritized Punjabis over theirs.

Pakistan has consistently accused India of supporting the TTP and India has consistently denied it. It’s possible India is using the situation diplomatically to weaken Pakistan’s influence in Afghanistan. Like Strengthening ties with Afghan leaders.

It’s complicated Pakhtoons live on both sides of the border, but ethnicity doesn’t mean everyone picks the same side

Completely different thing . Less than 50 % punjabis are sikhs . And other punjabis will obviously side with india . And about 50 % sikhs also side with india but the jatt sikh community will side with khalistan 95% of them . But the situation with Pakistan and Afghanistan is completely different because they are mostly muslims and both countries are muslims

There are many jatt sikhs in the Indian army tho. They literally have 2 entire regiments for them. A good number of Jatts will support India too but the rest won't. Also pashtuns live in both Afghanistan and Pakistan so it isn't clear cut. They are both muslims sure but they have different cultures

No pashtuns don't have the numbers, political strength or the resources to overthrow the Punjabi government. Minorities cannot overthrow them without the support of the majority. Only an external force can overthrow the government.

Of course they can't, but that's their aim, I dont think it will happen honestly

They can only do small scale attacks like what they did in dera ismail khan a few days ago killing 50

Theyre a small militia based in south waziristan

The Afghan territory is very hard to conquer
The Soviet Union conquered 90% of Afghanistan's territory, the mujahideen simply hid in caves like rats, nd even after the withdrawal of Soviet troops they took control of the country only three years later

the Soviets held major cities and roads but they never controlled the rural areas where the majority of the population actually lived. Controlling 90% of territory on a map because you have a city with forced doesn't mean you actually control the area.

no. the soviets sent troops and aid to assist the afghan socialist government. this notion of “muh soviets wanted to annex afghanistan” is propaganda

the american imperialists funded and trained islamist groups (especially extremist ones) to overthrow the socialist regime.

they r right u clown. the socialist government controlled all the important places: cities and supply routes. ur backwards anti government islamists only controlled some mountains cuz they were scared to face off against the DRA’s military.

stop dickriding those cave dwelling pube bearded mujahideen. they were scared rats who got exterminated by the afghan government. they were sellouts to america, pakistan, and saudi. their corrupt leaders all lived in fear of KHAD.

How do they attack a base? They drop bombs and attack with guns also?

Conquering ≠ no defeat. The British and Soviets also inflicted massive casualties but ultimately couldn't move beyond the Hindu Kush. Same for Ranjit Singh.
Man singh did conquer them aswell.

There’s no single way , attackers use whatever tools they have like direct gun , bombs , indirect fire , airstrikes.

This is something cumskins don’t understand it’s why when they say “Italy colonised Ethiopia” it’s so fucking wrong. They only controlled the capital city and a few other cities but the countryside where 90% of the Ethiopia’s. Lived they COULDNT even go without getting sniped

oh you think afghans actually care about pakistan? theyre all concerned with their own little tribal shit tbh fr
