It's a common misconception that palatal expansion will make you better looking. This stems from the idea that having a wider palate leads to having a wider face, increased airway volume, and more forward growth.

This is all correct. But it's not accounting for the fact that this "growth" you achieve from palatal expansion is NOT natural. Most attractive people have wider palates, yes, but does this mean that anyone can slap a palate expander in their mouth and increase their looks substantially? NO.

I've studied orthodontic mechanics for months, and I can confidently say I know more about orthodontics and the effect it has on the skull and body as a whole than 99.9% of people on this website.
