Palate expander experiment

So, I’m thinking of getting a palate expander to maxillamaxx. But I don’t wanna deal with braces from the potential gap that the expander would bring. Y’all think I could get a three way, take off the frontal one from the expander, just leave it on my teeth. And then only the back will expand leaving the front ungapped. Or am I crazy? Looking for medical professionals here.
