if you say tldr or water ur gay
first time "formatting" my posts
1) Why Do YOU Want A Wide Palate
A wide and forward palate is the standard for beauty. It impacts every
crevice of your face. A wide Maxilla is
the difference between the following faces:
and a forward Maxilla is the difference between these two:
2) Is Your Palate Even Narrow?
To determine your intermolar width, grab a piece of paper, bite down softely and sketch
out the markings. measure the gap, in most people, 34-38mm seems to suffice, however
that's Jewish propoganda, and anything below 42mm is subhuman and you should kys
(or better yet, follow this). if you're too lazy, simply examine the shape instead of distance,
if its in a V-shape, its likely narrow.
3) When Should You Get a Palate Expander?
(Now me commenting on this is retarded, but so is this entire post)
The ideal age would be 13-16, as mandible growth halts and
does not grow asymmetrically with the maxilla severly.
This period allows for balanced development and a more
harmonious facial appearance. After 16, the growth of the
mandible begins to slow down, and while expansion is still
possible between 16 and 18, it's much fucking harder.
4) Which Expander For YOU?
There are 2 main types, a 2 way and a 3 way expander.
The 3-way expander image is commonly misleading, as it doesn’t
expand the front sideways. Instead, it primarily expands forward.
The 2-way expanders are designed with the assumption that the
mandible’s growth plates are still open, as the upper jaw expansion
requires support from the lower jaw. However, the 3-way expander's
even more severe. For those of you over the age of 16, KYS. If your
growth plates have already closed, it limits your ability to adapt your
mandible. That said, if your growth plates are still open, the mandible
can still grow and adjust to the new expansion.
5) Cons.
1) Wider alar base (1-2mm)
2) less prominent hollow cheeks (only happens if you ovER-expand)
3) teeth gaps (temporary)
4) pain
5) slight downward growth
6) Pros!
1) better zygos
2) better maxilla (aren't you sold yet?)
3) better breathing
4) Orbital development (if on the younger side)
5) Ascension halo
