Yeah if your skull bones didn't fuse yet but other than that i don't think it would do much to your maxillary horizontal growth, sure you could get rid of crowding by widening your palate but it won't do much to your face

yes you have a chance it will work i recommend chewing as well at that age (not just ur masater but chew with hard gum with the front of ur teeth as well)

8 sessions an hour is probably better u dont want the masater to overly hypertrophy frontal chewing is super important
