Palate expander/MSE age and price

Im 18 rn and want to get a palate expander/mse if too late for palate expander.
My question is whats the age limit till palate expanders are impossible and therefore mse is needed? And how cheap can u get mse done in like turkey as opposed to the uk. Even just for a consulation in the uk its a few hundred LMAO!?
So im considering next year during my gap year going turkey and alongside the buccal fat removal im doing, also getting mse there but i want to know if its financially smart.

you can get a palate expander at any age. just if ur older you may need to get surgicaly assisted

what do u think about the diy ones. u can get a palate expander online for like a few hundred and do it yourself. Ive seen a few redditors say they did this succesfully but then also a few who due to lack of experience and proffesional intervention ended up expanding themselves assymetrically and causing assymetry in their face. I was thinking with the help of like chatgpt as my ortho i could try do this lmao

Turkey is good. But just make sure your surgeon is not shit.
