Palate expander

is it still possible to get a palate expander at 16? and if so how do i convince my orthodontist, he told me i was too old and if i was younger he would have done that

ur asking if it's possible to get one at your age then state that your own orthodontist said he won't give u one so wtf are u gonna do even if i say "yes u can get one at your age"
