yep nga youneed palate expander and your ortho will prob recommend it. you def need it, measure your palate size a wide one would be 40-50

do this by biting on a piece of paper on a table
and measure with a ruler

yes you should, if you tolerate pain.
They were already gonna give you class 2 elastics with braces if you did marpe, to close the gap, and they are going to use elastics to bring the lower jaw forward. The difference between class 2 elastics and herbst is that herbst is more extreme, does the job faster and you dont need to put on your elastics on and off every meal. sides include shit pain for the first week and looking like you have an underbite for some time.

one of the few sensible people here, orthos WISH they could move jaws with rubber bands, it would make their job much easier
