Tom and Pol aren't even tht smart there is no point in the show where it made me go WOW that was genius. It's sad how the show tried to portray them as some evil genius when in reality they are low class low iq criminals any competent person would take out within days
their personality isn't even that interesting. all Tom talks about is his stupid fucking wall. Polly just whines about her children and always on Tom's dick for no reason than to assert her matriarch persona. Grace has a father die so cool? all the characters are shallow but the show tries to act like it's deep or something

i dont see the show like that, i see that tom is just a super mentally fucked up dude due to the PTSD from the war and everything he does is just him trying to find a purpose in life or some fufillment, he married grace but towards the end before she died he was kind of getting pissed at her and then after grace dies its just him coping he wants to kill himself but doesnt for some reason. pol is just straight up annoying but over all i enjoyed the show, really shows that no matter how much power of money you have you can still be a misereable piece of shit.
