In general the UK isn't an attractive place to be.

But the reason it's most likely better in the south is due to the whole culture for those who are upper class as they tend to spend more time, money & effort on their appearance and overall look.

I live in the south but from the north, I’m 2h30m from London which is similar to Birmingham, yet house prices here are double with 4x less crime rate… Reason? We hardly have any pakis here.

I see I didn't explain my point well. The job opportunities are worse in the North than they are in the South. Therefore all the smart people that drive the economy up are going to move to places like London where there is a better job market. This means all the unambitious criminals are going to remain in these Northern cities and thus exacerbate the issue since nobody wants to live near criminals certain industries are at a loss if they situate themselves in those crime ridden areas.
