I have been noticing it for a while now and it has gotten quite bad. People here will use minorities in a majority to define the whole majority. For example someone saying that muscles/frame is all that matters and sending a tiktok video of a woman saying that. It will never be any actual statistics.
It´s used for cope too, I´ve seen the same threads over and over again made by different people saying stuff like "height doesn´t matter, what about Ian Somerhalder, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt," or something along those lines. It is unfortunate to say but there are 8 billion people on Earth, 4 billion of them are men, the accomplishments of 4 people or even 400 cannot define or change anything, instead what is usually done is a person who is boosted by fame, status, money, and looks is used as an example to say some defining feature isn´t important just because they don´t have it. It´s like looking at Simon Biles in the Olympics and saying every person should be able to jump 11 feet high. It simply isn´t feasible.
