They technically aren’t lying.

The truth is, looks don’t matter for the majority of people since most people are average looking - there is nothing remarkable or special about their looks, so personality becomes more important. Average looks are forgettable, nobody will have a second thought about the way you look.

But if you somehow manage to push past this average range, looks suddenly become extremely valuable. I’ve experienced it first hand, ascension to descension and back, several times, the difference is night and day.

When you’re in the average range as a complete stranger, absolutely nobody cares about you until you can give them a reason to care about you. You’re invisible to everybody unless you can prove you can benefit them in some way (with status, personality, money, etc.)

But when you’re at the top, groups of girls will giggle in your presence for no reason and obsess over you, people will treat you special for no reason, and you somehow receive social opportunities for doing nothing at all. If you haven’t experienced any of this, you’ve never been to the top.

The effect of your avatar is drastically important if you want true influence.

Looks only have an effect on people when you’re below the average range or above it, ugly or attractive, repulsed vs enamored.

When you’re dead average, or slightly below/slightly above, nobody gives a second thought about your look.

So yes, of course do what you can to become at least average, and strive for above the average range if possible (it’s not for most)
