1. What are perioral mounds

in a nutshell, perioral mounds are bulges of fat tissue near your lips, between the nasolobial folds & chin. I see many people mistake them for Lower Jowl fat (ill refer to it as LJF for now) but they aren’t the same thing, as LJF sits lower, and is usually caused by fat descending from the mid face or the fat pad sliding down.

The main reason perioral mounds exist is, well, genetic, like most of your other features. Some people are simply born with thicker fat compartments around the lips. Also aging makes them more prominent.

3. How to get rid of Perioral Mounds

getting rid of them is pretty straight forward. You have 3 main options:

A) You use fat dissolvers. (Aqualyx, Kybella)

B) you use Botox (only effective when the muscles are pulling the corner of the mouth down.

C) Last and not least you can do liposuction, but that’s for severe cases. The average lad can get away with using fat dissolvers.

There are definitely bigger failos than Perioral mounds, but they’re worth looking into if you have some spare time on your hands.

I've always liked the way these looked from the oblique profile believe it or not. Not when its super wrinkly but when the area surrounding the mouth has volume.

Definitely. Make sure she ascends while she has time

yeah I understand what you mean. When there is a very slight bulge it makes your 3/4 look more angular
