Stoicism is that you believe life is difficult, but you will go onwards with your dignity anyways and keep your misery bottled in.
This is almost the very definition of COPE!
Attractive people (winners) believe in a just world. If you make it in life, you will NOT be okay with living a difficult life.
Winners THRIVE and ENJOY difficulty to the extent that it does not even feel difficult to them. Winners are like olympic athletes - not the glitter run 5k runners.
The olympic athlete doesn't care about stoicism. He doesn't even care about the gold medal, he just wants to show up and win because it's just so damn easy for him to set world records. He doesn't even think; his brain doesn't feel emotions. He thinks like a computer that doesn't feel pain.
Meanwhile the 5k runner with breathing problems and sore legs is OBSESSED with the idea of placing on the bronze medal podium, even though his only competition is baby boomers and college students. he reads Stoic philosophy and nofap on reddit for hours the night before his big race. He places 12th out of 30 and writes a long post that gets many upvotes and reddit gold.
