It's genuinely boring to learn about different philosophers and their views on life and comparing them and shit or whatever philosophy nerds do. Idk how niggas on this forum enjoy it. You can never come to a conclusion either, you will only be left more confused. It has to be performative, niggas on this forum enjoying philosophy. Even if you come to a subjective conclusion on what life and everything in this world is about then what? You are not going to change the way you live

Philosophy is so interesting to me because I understand why life is the way it is. It actually did change the way I live after learning about stoicism

I feel like you should have a lot of life experiences to actually be interested in philosophy if you study it as someone who has experienced nothing more in life than school, their hometown and a few vacations it's only theoretical learning that you can't apply to any of your experiences since you don't have any.

It teaches you how to think rationally and allows you to form a good base for all the opinions you hold. Alot of people also do change the way they live their life, not sure where you got that from.

Everyone has a philosophy on life whether it's thought through or not. When I said interested in philosophy I assume people who are interested learn about philosophers because they have spent their whole life forming a view on life instead of manually thinking through everything yourself then they form a view on life after learning about philosophers and adding their own subjective opinions
