people talk poorly about physical exfoliants, often saying chemical exfoliants are better, but what if I were to tell you different? I have tried many chemical exfoliants (on the top of my head I can think about salicylic acid), but they didn’t seem to work for me. Why? Because I (and you may to) have tougher (oilyer and more acne prone) skin and all those weak chemical exfoliants just irritated my skin further leading to more acne.

Conclusion? You need to figure out what works for you. Over the counter chemical exfoliants could be to weak for your skin and just irritate your skin, or physical exfoliants could hurt your weaker skin and create micro tears within the skin, irritating and damaging the skin. Any time I use physical exfoliants I feel instantly cleaner in the face, and it has been approx 2 weeks on it and I have seen noticeably less white and black heads on my skin.
