Pinterest and tiktok has made every art into an aesthetic. Music, movies and the visual arts are now just superficial expressions of the ego and nothing more. It started the whole performative male and artsy girl archetype. I hate that. I see girls changing their musical tastes like every month or so because it doesn't fit their aesthetic.
