How Azerbaijan won the war against Armenia

The blue lines were Armenia's defensive lines.
1st phase - red: Azerbaijan broke through Armenia's front in the South, then took all the flat area the along the border with Iran

Everything colored in red is a standard military campaign. While Azerbaijan advanced it's drones devastated Armenia's reinforcement & equipment making it impossible for Armenia to build up new defensive lines. Only before the Lachin corridor did Armenia manage to build a strong defensive position.

2nd phase - orange: the Azeri genius move! Instead of trying to fight through Armenia's strong defensive line before Lachin, Azerbaijans's army crossed the mountains into the Armenians back and then struck North to #Shusha.
Armenia had nothing there to stop the onslaught.

The attack Northward from SHadrut & in parallel towards Khojavend pinned Armenian forces down & no reinforcement could be send to stop Azerbaijan's genius move.
Massing forces South of Shusha Azerbaijan then attacked Shusha from both sides and took it with ease as Armenia was already defeated.

Having taken Shusha the deathstroke fell.
3rd phase - yellow: Azerbaijan advanced now unopposed towards Lachin, cutting off all hope of reinforcements for "Artsakh" and moved towards Khankendi with barely any Armenia left in the way of Azeri's unstoppable advance.

If Armenia had not surrendered then Azerbaijan would have taken Khankendi, #Xocalı & then #Əsgəran & thus encircled the entire Southern and Eastern Armenian front.
The orange movement was the killer. Nobody expected it, and it was devastating to Armenia.

The peace treaty has been signed & Azerbaijan has taken much of the occupied region, Armenians have lynched a government official. We'll see how things go but I doubt the Armenians will do anything since the peace treaty was signed with the help of Russia.
