theres this guy named Babystickley on tiktok and yt, according to him he "gained" forward growth (and chin projection) by doing what he calls MPR, i dont know if it works (probably not), but it's worth trying, you have nothing to lose

I am also 16 and have a recessed chin due to an overbite. I’m wearing braces with elastics that pull my jaw forward to fix it. I’m not sure how great the results will be in the end but it for sure helps. Speak with an orthodontist and see what you can do
